For over 1000 years the Mossi people have been cultivating cotton. In Rural villages the women spin the cotton, a highly sought-after skill, before handing the spun cotton over to male weavers to weave strips on a narrow loom. Once woven the cloth is stitched together before the women embroider a design onto the cloth
