Details: Handmade from grass and palm
Sourced in Zimbabwe
These baskets are traditionally used to make maize. Although they are all from the same tribe, separation of the groups over the years has led to a slight differentiation in design. The Zimbabwe type is characterized by its flatness, whereas the Zambian version is deeper with a broader square “foot”. It takes one artisan up to two weeks to make one basket that's approximately 35cm in diameter.
HON Styling Tip: Style these unique baskets in the corner of your room, on a shelf or under a console table for added interest and texture!
All products are handmade and vary in size, color, and design. Please note that the product you receive may not look exactly like the one pictured, as no two pieces are alike.
