Stay
In Santa Teresa, there really is something for everyone in regards to lodging. There are not a TON of options but that’s what makes it special! You have the option to rent a villa via airbnb this is where we stayed:
- Florblanca Resort – a perfectly located resort right on the beach with incredible views- villas and yoga/pilates offered everyday
- Hotel Nantipa
Eat
- Cafe Social– amazing coffees, smoothies, breakfast and lunch!
- Rocamar You could find us and most of the locals here Sundowners *almost* everynight + incredible food!
- Chicken Joe’s Rotisserie Such a standout meal! Super laid back spot perfect for a low-key lunch or dinner
- La Cevicheria We rarely go to a restaurant multiple times when we are somewhere new but the escaviche and lobster brought us back twice
- Zula Restaurant really fresh and amazing israeli food
- Koji’s the best spot for sushi and Japanese food
- Doki Doki – the ultimate date night taco spot *such a vibe* with outstanding mezcal drinks and tacos!
Shop
- Mustique Store bought my favorite pair of sneakers here- ecofriendly and out of Brazil!
- PAWO clothing and apothecary
- Studio Colectiva the perfect collected shop found a very special dress here
- MACHA gorgeous summer dresses and jewelry
- Galerie Pura Vida great small local gallery with funky artwork and a cafe
Do
- Rent at ATV – this is by far the best way to get around Santa Teresa! A lot of the roads are not paved so this allowed us to really explore the area and find tons of hidden beaches to relax by the water and soak it all in.
- Surf Lessons: Jackalopes Surf Shop is at one of our favorite beaches, Playa Hermosa, and not only were we able to rent surf boards and all the gear but they can connect you with a surf instructor (we highly recommend Andres ) Whatsapp +506 8893 5234
- Take a pilates or yoga class- I enjoyed a pilates class in what felt like a tree house overlooking the ocean at Florblanca Resort! Yoga can be found in so many spots in Santa Teresa
- Chase Waterfalls- a short drive to Montezuma Waterfalls where you can take a dip and enjoy a hike in the jungle
- Enjoy a day at Ranchos Itauna Beach Club
