- Wander Fourth Ward Historic District: if you happen to be in CLT in May they offer an amazing garden tour of private residences. Can’t forget to pop in Alexander Michaels for a pint, a Charlotte tradition. The patio at Poplar St. tapas has an adorable patio to check out too!
- The Thirsty Beaver Saloon: it doesn’t get more “hole in a wall” than this! It’s like stepping back into the 70’s. Great place to shoot pool on a rainy afternoon.
- Lake Norman: while it’s not technically in Charlotte, locals love driving 30 minutes north for a day on the lake! Be sure to check out Hello, Sailor.
- Charlotte FC: Check out a major league soccer game at Bank of America stadium!
- Enjoy the greenway and the rail trail. Rent a bike and ride through Freedom Park.
