Stay

  • Villa Copenhagen: With a location across the street from the train station and walking distance to Tivoli and many other great restaurants and bars, the stay here was absolute perfection!

These two Airbnbs are also a great option!

Do

  • Design Museum Denmark: for all art and Danish design lovers! An absolute must.
  • Botanical Garden: By far a highlight of the trip! Here you can explore a huge outdoor botanical park with trails and local fauna, but the highlight is the 27 glass greenhouses including a spiral staircase that lets you overlook the incredible trees from their canopies!
  • Statens Museum for Kunst: An incredible museum with some incredible works by Danish and foreign artists dating from the 14th century to the present!
  • Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center
  • Tivoli: the OG amusement park for all ages! It was so magical, especially around the holidays!
  • Christiansborg Castle
  • Kastellet: for the history lover. It is one of the best preserved fortresses in Northern Europe
  • Walk along the river and explore the colorful Nyhavn area! There are tons of cafes and during Christmas all the markets are set up!
  • Take an E-bike over to Christiania and explore this 1970’s commune that is still alive and well today!
  • Take the train over to Malmö, Sweden for the day! We explored the city and enjoyed the Malmö Konsthall Art Museum and had the BEST meal at the local joint since 1897, Två Krögare Bullen
  • Back on your E-bike to the Nørrebro neighborhood – my personal favorite! It’s a total melting pot of all things delicious and fun! It’s Copenhagen’s most culturally diverse neighborhood with incredible restaurants and shopping!
