We recently traveled to Panama City in search of the perfect pieces for our latest capsule collection. During our trip, we discovered some amazing sights, restaurants, and activities in the area and are so excited to share them with you!

Stay

We have been lucky enough to go to Mallorca many times and still have a never ending list of things we want to check out. The island truly has something for everyone. Adventure, shopping, dining and some of the most amazing views in the Mediterranean.

Eat

  • Lo Que Hay — enjoy the Carpaccio De Yuva Con Atun Fresco and the Salsa de tomate with the fried sticky rice… it will change your life.
  • Cocktails and apps at Mahalo Cina y Jardin — be sure to ask to sit outside on their patio; string lights patterned cement tile and the largest palm plants we have ever seen. Enjoy perfectly grilled Pupo, the Colas de Langosta prawns, and wash it down with a mojito.
  • Taste local Rum and Beer at La Rana Dorada.
  • Mahalo Snack Shack — best brunch in the city!
  • Visit the La Pulperia for snacks and cocktails – we loved this moody bar!

Do

  • Enjoy a cup of the coveted Geisha coffee at the Cafe Unido Casco Viejo.
  • Cocktails with a view at the CasaCasco rooftop.
  • Shop local at the Mercadito Artesanias Cathedral — really cool market near the waterfront.
  • Meet the local Kuna women selling items outside the markets near the waterfront area! Many still wear traditional Kuna dresses and beaded jewelry.
  • Explore the areas around the Panama Canal by boat… another chance to meet the local Embera community who specialize in intricate weaving techniques.
  • Take a 2-3 day trip to the San Blas islands to meet the Kuna community and explore a few of the 365 islands!
  • See Panama City (and beyond!) from a local — Victor Perez @localinpty.

See

  • The Biomuseo designed by architect Frank Gehry
  • The Museo de la Mola (MUMO)
  • The Metropolitan Natural Park — only 20 min from the center of the city where densely rainforest lies full of native birds and animals (even sloths!)
  • If you have time take it a step further and see out the National Soberania Park in Las Cumbres full of trails and streams for the chance to spot monkeys, sloths, birds and jaguars
